This study unit of 15 minerals is designed to illustrate the response of certain minerals to ultraviolet radiation. This collection contains some minerals which will only respond to shortwave radiation, and others which will only respond to long-wave radiation. Some of the minerals will respond to both the shortwave and long-wave radiation, but with differing degrees of intensity. The fifteen 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" specimens are numbered to correspond to key with descriptive materials. Packaged in a compartmentalized container.
