"Narrow board design permits EMTs to apply short backboards in small autos or confined areas. Multiple strap openings allow various strapping methods depending on the situation and the condition of the patient. Notched head-end section enables head straps to be positioned according to patient size. Model 61 is constructed of sheet aluminum fastened to an all-aluminum frame. Head-end section tapered for maneuvering around patient. Model 77 is constructed of seven-ply, 1/2 marine grade plywood and finished with clear varnish on both sides.Quality hardwood is strong, yet light enough to place behind the patient with minimum effort.
