"Ferno's 750-series Dark Brown Phenolic Backboards are constructed with a 5/8 core of Finnish Birch plywood. The backboards are permanently coated with a phenolic resin to resist body fluids and keep the wood intact. Optional runners make transport over rough terrain easy while adding lift capability. The tapered design follows body contours for controlled handling in extrications or confined-space rescues. Standard width permits straps to be anchored close to the body, minimizing lateral movement during transport.
