"Ferno's 740 series, Tan Phenolic backboard is constructed of 5/8 Finnish Birch plywood. The backboards are permanently coated with a phenolic resin to resist body fluids. Unique Ferno EdgeGuard protects entire perimeter of backboard from splintering and cracking. Reflective lettering on Ferno EdgeGuard increases nighttime visibility and provides an extra measure of safety. Tapered design follows body contours for controlled handling in extrications or confined-space rescues. Standard width permits straps to be anchored close to the body, minimizing lateral movement during transport. Ferno wooden boards fit inside standard wire or plastic stretchers.
