pre and post decontamination kits-the pre and post-decon kits have been designed for patients to decontaminate at an accident scene prior to treatment and transport. each kit has its own color, making it easy to identify where the patients are in the processing stages. patients will use the pre-decon kit to prepare for secondary showering. this kit provides each patient with a patient belongings bags for collecting and tracking clothes and belongings. after the decontamination process is complete, the patient will prepare for treatment and/or transport with the post-decon kit. both kits provide a disposable towel for drying, flip-flops, and a foil rescue blanket in case the patient is cold. these kits have been designed to fit a wide range of patient sizes by providing a universal size gown with ties on each side for tying up excess material. the gown will not fall apart and will maintain patient privacy even when wet. this is a pre-decon kit.
